Metakey update for Q4 2024. October to December.

Metakey Games
In building our own games, here’s some snippets for a game called ‘demon legends’ we are co-developing with another roblox developer.
It will be an action PvP and we’re going to add some epic VFX and graphics.

We’re also experimenting with some super simple concepts that are more low poly and easier to churn out. For example this hide and seek game where you hide as an object and have to survive the ‘seeker’. The last one standing wins.
Sounds simple and silly but games like this are EXTREMELY popular in roblox.
On crypto
It’s great to see strength in the crypto market once again. We’ll be watching to see how this translates to gaming or the actual usage of crypto assets in traditional sectors.
The good thing is, Metakey is working on building a traditional gamer base that can translate over if crypto x gaming is more accepted.
So we’re going to continue to focus in the direction we’ve chosen while keeping an ear open.
I will keep everyone updated on Metakey happenings quarterly but have mostly been off socials as most have noticed for a while.
Status of Metakey, past and present.
Three years ago Metakey placed a strong bet on trad gamers translating over the crypto games and interoperability being a thing. These didn’t eventuate to a level we wanted to hence the change and focus to Roblox, client games and other.
When we make a company wide change/pivot it used to take a LOT of effort and time regarding planning and team reshuffling.
I will still act as CEO for Metakey which includes ensuring the company continues to function, updating community, revenue focus, hiring or pivoting, etc.
The last pivot to Roblox we had to let go of a large portion of our staff and spend 2 months planning.
Although crypto has shown a lot more promise as of late, we will still commit to our web2 vision of building our own and client games for the foreseeable future till our revenue is not dependent on crypto volatility.
As many have noticed, I’ve also been away from socials and discords for a long while. After 8 years being so involved in crypto discussions I decided to take a social break.
I also find social media heavily distracting to making actual wealth and sticking to plans in crypto. Being off socials has allowed me to have more rational and relaxed thinking.
This cycle I’ve been way more strategic and clear headed.
I’d like to just share my thoughts more privately and just be in more ‘quiet’ spaces. I have a more focussed strategy this time.
I might continue staying away from Twitter but I’ll try checking in to discord more often as I’ve enjoyed strategy sharing regarding crypto etc.
Ending note - Metakey is doing well, are VERY busy, (3 client contracts, 3 in-house games), and personally I think we’ve done a great job in navigating survivability and risk in the wild world of crypto.
Looking forward to updating you quarterly.
Lastly, we just had kid #2 on Monday! I was hoping to send this report earlier but Monday onwards was a blur!
